The Big Bang Theory has recently had one of their casts die and it was reported that Carol Ann Susi, the actress playing the role of Howard Wolowitz' mother, Mrs. Wolowitz, has passed away due to cancer.
Susi was said to have had a brief battle against the deadly disease and passed away at the age of 62.
This was first announced via a joint statement from the executive producers of the hit CBS show as they wrote on Twitter: "The Big Bang Theory family has lost a beloved member today with the passing of Carol Ann Susi, who hilariously and memorably voiced the role of Mrs. Wolowitz," says Chuck Lorre, Bill Prady and Steven Molaro.
They added that Susi was unseen by the viewers making the character more mysterious all throughout the eight seasons of the show. They pressed, "What was not a mystery, however, was Carol Ann's immense talent and comedic timing, which were on display during each unforgettable appearance."
They also said that Susi was a constant source of joy and kindness to everyone and has offered their condolences to her family who are grieving as of the moment. They noted that they will miss the actress greatly.
Due to this, Susi's co-stars have shared their sentiments and condolences on their social media accounts as they remember their friend and colleague. Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting, Mayim Bialik, Kunal Nayyar and Melissa Rauch had their own messages on their respective accounts.
Kaley has posted a black and white photo of Susi on her Facebook page and she wrote, "Rest in peace hilarious, adorable, sweet Carol Ann Susi. You will forever be part the Big Bang Theory family."
Mayim then took it to Twitter pressing that Susi might have passed away but the voice of Mrs. Wolowitz will forever be attached to that of Susi.
Kunal also took it to Twitter saying that his heart is broken and that he misses the actress' smile. He pressed that her spirit will forever be with them.
And for Melissa, she said that she is very grateful to have known Susi who was able to bring laughter and light noting that Susi will forever be in her heart.
