Model Chrissy Teigen is showing her support to the bashed Calvin Klein supposed "plus-size" model identified as Myla Dalbesio.
The brand pressed as they released their new underwear campaign that the models they have used are perfectly fit, however, controversy has erupted by dubbing Myla as a plus-sized model.
Chrissy then released a statement saying, "I don't even know the controversy with it honestly. I saw the photo, she looked beautiful-who cares?" Chrissy was at the Shutterfly's Wine, Dine & D.I.Y. Design holiday event located at Sopra in the big apple.
She added, "That's what I don't get-so what are they saying? Are they saying she's not plus-sized?" She also pressed that the internet is full of fake outrage. She also noted that she has learned this as she made it through the modelling industry. She pressed, "Stop getting your panties in a wad all the time over everything possible."
The model was said to have caused outrage because she was claimed to be a size 10 but she was still skinny and not as fat as what Americans consider as a plus-size. The Twitterverse exploded with comments pressing that the model was not plus size at all. They also criticized the brand itself for being out of touch of the reality.
According to Elle Magazine, Myla pressed that she was a size 10 and was bigger than all the girls that the brand has ever worked with. The 27-year-old stands 5 foot 11' and is also considered as curvy. Myla noted that she was kind of "in between" in terms of size regarding the UK and US sizes.
However, Calvin Klein has released a statement via their spokesperson and they explained that Myla was never called a plus-size but they claimed that the new underwear line caters to the needs of different sizes of women.
