Man Electrocuted To Death By Wedding Ring Allegedly Getting In Contact With Copper Line

Man Electrocuted By Wedding Ring - A man got electrocuted while installing a dishwasher in Port Orange, Florida.

The tragic event took place last Thursday, CBS noted. A 33 year-old man, Jason Ferguson, died after his wedding ring entered in contact with another object.

He was at his in-laws house and the family was preparing dinner while it happened.

According to WKMG, the man was kneeling in front of the appliance and asked his brother in-law to turn the power back on. After this request, the family was sure he must have worked the problem out.

Instead, while turning the power back on, Ferguson reached behind the dishwasher and apparently, touched a bare copper wire that was there. The authorities believe it was his wedding ring that was responsible for the electroshock.

This is due to the fact that while reaching behind the dishwasher, but doing it with bare hands, there might be an electroshock, and the person will get electrocuted. Still, the person wouldn't die instantly.

Yet, if the person has a wedding ring, which would imply that metal got in direct contact with electricity, then the transfusion of electricity would be too large.

Among the fast transmitters of electricity are water and metal. And copper is indeed a strong one. So, the wedding ring could have been a great help for this unfortunate event to take place.

After his family found him unresponsive, they called 911 and the man was taken to the Halifax Medical Center. He died.

It was stated that Ferguson used to repair and install electric devices all the time. He was called to help out with these sorts of chores frequently.

It's nothing short of a shame and a real tragedy that something like a wedding ring could mean the end. Electrocutions happen constantly and for various reasons, though.
