Plane crash in Bahamas yesterday kills all nine people on board. Plane in Bahamas yesterday was carrying nine people who were headed for the Global Leadership Forum. The nine people's names were not immediately released. It was later revealed that celebrated preacher, author and business coach Myles Munroe and his wife Ruth Munroe died in the crash.

The plane crash in Bahamas yesterday occurred at about 5 pm. On board were nine people headed for the Global Leadership Forum organized by Pastor Myles Munroe himself. He and his wife were also headed to the conference.

The plane departed Bahamas capital of Nassau but crashed as it was attempting  to land at the Grand Bahama International Airport.

A statement from the Ministry of Transport and Aviation in Bahamas read out, "The Department of Civil Aviation has been advised unofficially that the aircraft was destroyed and that there were no survivors."

Former Mayor of Atlanta and the former UN US ambassador Andrew Young, was scheduled to speak at the forum. He released this statement in the wake of the plane crash in Bahamas yesterday, "Ambassador Young expresses his deep sadness over the tragic death of his friends Dr. Myles and Mrs. Ruth Munroe. He offers condolences to the Munroe family and the families of the other souls who lost their lives as a result of this shocking plane crash."

It has not immediately been determined the cause of the accident.

Myles Munroe, who is an internationally acclaimed author and preacher, was scheduled to head the Global Leadership Forum. He is the Founder of Bahamas Faith Ministries and has published 69 books in his lifetime. He was also the founder of Myles Munroe International.

In the year 1998, he received an OBE on the Queen's Birthday Honors List. Munroe, who died age 60 in the Bahamas plane crash yesterday, will be dearly missed by Christians across the globe.
