Great Lake snow report will send chills this coming Halloween as the weather becomes freakishly cold on Friday.
A blast of cold weather will greet a Happy Halloween to the Great Lake and northeast areas. Bone-chilling air, lake-effect rain and even some early-season snow will fall on these parts of the world on Friday evening, according to AccuWeather forecast.
The Halloween wet snow treat will affect parts of Michigan, northern and eastern Wisconsin, the Ohio Valley and Appalachians. Snowflakes could even join the trick or treaters in Detroit.
Aside from the snowy treat, wind chill temperatures can also be experienced into the 20s around the Great Lakes and the 30s in the Ohio Valley.
The cold front will start as a disturbance in the upper levels of the atmosphere. This front will be moving from Great Lakes to central New York with rains and wet snow. Kids to join the Trick or Treat parades should prepare for the rain showers coming up.
The cold and rainy Halloween is due to a possible storm heading for New England straight from the northern Canada this weekend. The weather will feel more like of December as temperatures will stumble to reach 40 degrees both Saturday and Sunday in northeast.
AccuWeather meteorologists Brett Rathburn and Alex Sosnowski wrote in a morning forecast, "The dramatic change to colder air following late-summerlike warmth will be a shock for some people."
"Kids and adults partaking in the evening masquerade will need to bundle up and should consider bringing along a light or reflective items to increase visibility for passing motorists," Rathburn and Sosnowski added.
The next week will be milder and warmer with temperatures in the mid-60s.
