Carrie Bradshaw - The "Sex And The City" character was many things. She was a successful woman, entertaining and attractive to most men as it was seen in the show. But to Chris Noth, the actor who played Mr. Big, she was "a whore."
"Sex And The City" was a TV show that lasted from 1998 to 2004. It was extremely successful and pretty much every woman and a lot of men saw it. It portrayed the life of Carrie Bradshaw, a columnist who had her weekly report for "Sex And The City" and every week there would be a new episode, as well.
She would also get together with her three best friends and they would all gossip about their lives, especially on the sexual side. After the show, two movies where made.
"Sex And The City" (2008) and "Sex And The City 2" (2010) where Sarah Jessica Parker played Carrie Bradshaw like she had done in the series as well. All the characters were portrayed by the same actors.
The thing is that in the series, Carrie Bradshaw had a long string of boyfriends and for the movies, one love interest was the main character. That was Mr. Big, who was played by Chris Noth and he married her in the movie.
The actor had an interview with News AU about his career and if his Mr. Big character had served as a typecast for the rest of his roles. "The Good Wife" was mentioned as he plays there Peter Florrick, who is similar in some ways to Mr. Big.
"One of the things I tell people is that he (Mr. Big) never tried to pretend he was anything other than what he was. It was (Carrie) who tried to pretend he was something he wasn't. He was always honest about himself."
"He never cheated on her. The relationship just didn't work, and he went on to get married while she went on to... how many boyfriends did she have? She was such a whore!"
While he said this, he laughed, so it's understood that he meant it as a joke. Later on, NY Daily News reported that Michael Patrick King, the co-creator of the series added that we wouldn't take it in any other way as the two actors are great friends.
So, it seems like Chris Noth doesn't have the same perception of Carrie Bradshaw as his character Mr. Big does.
