Mystery Linger on Indiana Murder-Suicide Case

Wedding is supposed to be one of the memorable events in one's life, but not for a couple in Indiana who married and ended up in a Murder-Suicide case less than a day after their marriage.

Dr. George Scott Samson (54), an anesthesiologist at Union Hospital in Terre Haute and Kelly Ecker (50), a nurse, married Saturday afternoon in Terre Haute, Indiana. In the reception, dozens of friends and relatives had noticed some kind of tension happening between the couple.

The dispute transpired until an after-party Saturday night at their Terre Haute residence until the fatal murder-suicide happened Sunday morning, hours after the two exchanged vows.

The couple was not in the good mood and didn't talk at all during the reception. Some of the families and guests noticed tension between the bride and groom, Vigo County Sheriff Chief Deputy, Clark Cottom stated. George Samson walked out without his bride before the reception ended.

"We're talking to attendees at the wedding, but we will never know the reason why," Sheriff Greg Ewing said.

According to Daily Mail, the supposed argument was over a pre-nuptial agreement. Dr, George 'Scott' Samson apparently told his wife, "She would never get her hands on his money" during the wedding reception in Terre Haute Saturday evening.

Just after the final guests had left on wee hours of Sunday, Ecker called 911 claiming that her husband is going to kill her. She made three 911 calls. The first two ended up immediately, but the last call received by 911 revealed that she was very terrified and insistently asking for help until violent gunshots were heard.

Deputies arrived less than hour later to find Ecker in a bedroom fatally shot in the head and chest. The officers also discovered the lifeless body of Samson in the basement with self-inflicted gunshot wound in his head.

Samson, who is apparently a gun collector and a registered firearm dealer have 90 to 100 guns including handguns, rifles, silencers, and fully automatic weapons in his house. Reports also claim that Ecker's young son and Samson's parents were present in the house when the fatal incident happened but remained unharmed.
