Brittany Maynard Fights For The Right To Die [VIDEO] ‘I Want To Live. I Wish There Was A Cure For My Disease, But There Is Not’

Brittany Maynard - This 29 year-old young woman was diagnosed with a brain tumor and she was also diagnosed with six months left to live. But she has said no that and chosen to die in her own time.

Facing death is not easy, unimaginable really until a person is in that situation. So, when Brittany Maynard chose to die in a precise day, it became a strange choice and everyone started hearing about her.

Now, she has launched a video campaign yesterday with Compassion & Choices, so that other people can choose when to die, as well."

She has chosen Nov. 1st, because her husband's Dan Diaz birthday is on October 30th and she loves celebrating it. She is actually a recent newlywed and has stated to People that, "There is not a cell in my body that is suicidal or that wants to die. I want to live. I wish there was a cure for my disease, but there is not. My glioblastoma is going to kill me, and that's out of my control."

Brittany Maynard has glioblastoma stage 4, which is a brain tumor and in that level, is a very dangerous one.

She was diagnosed in January and as you will be able to see in the video, at first she was given more time and later on, in April she was told that she only had 6 months left.

She was living in San Francisco and moved to Oregon with her husband because the state has the Death With Dignity act, which has been on in the state since 1997 and 1,173 people had prescriptions written since then.

Brittany Maynard chose this way because it's less painful. Her brain tumor will take over her in a horrible way and she doesn't want that. So she fights for it, and for other people to have the same right as well. Currently, she is trying for California to adopt the Death With Dignity act too and people can have it a little bit easier like that.
