Hot Air Balloon Rescue - How many times can a person propose to another? Probably more than hot air balloons randomly falling. When Eric Barretto proposed to his girlfriend, they were going in an air balloon and suddenly, it fell on the water in Cardiff-by-the-sea, California.
People plan out marriage proposals and try to make them as romantic as possible. So, thinking about an Air Balloon to have a lovely view of the sky and be "flying," in a way, sounds as romantic as it can get.
Eric Barretto had this in mind when he took his girlfriend for a ride in the hot air balloon. What he never had in mind or even considered was the possibility that the air balloon might fall off to the water.
It was near 7 pm on Sunday as NBC San Diego noted, October 5th that people were resting on the beach, when they saw at the distance a hot air balloon slowly descending and ending up in the water.
The pilot apparently noticed the winds coming from the west and thought that the best idea was to perform an emergency landing on the sea to be drifted to the shore.
Luckily, there were surfers in the water that took the rope that Eric Barretto and his girlfriend threw and helped them to get to the shore safely, with no injuries whatsoever.
What was left, though was a good story with the hot air balloon and a marriage proposal that will definitely be in memory for the couple. Eric Barretto said about the experience: "It was unforgettable, that's all I can say about it. I don't know if we'll do it again."
And I don't believe the couple would be blamed after this hot air balloon rescue that had them as the main characters and intervened in the proposal that Eric had planned.
Oh, and she said yes!
