The Taken 3 cast and plot have been officially revealed, as the latest film of the famous Liam Neeson franchise has its first teaser trailer released. Franchise regulars Neeson, Maggie Grace and Famke Janssen come back to be a part of Taken 3's cast (the official name of the movie is actually Tak3n), which takes a turn from its predecessors' plot formula.
The Taken 3 cast sees Neeson's character, Bryan Mills, a former operative for the U.S. government, accused of the murder of his ex-wife, played by Janssen. The crime happens as Taken 3 cast members Neeson and Janssen see their characters head towards a reconciliation, which is brutally stopped when Lenore (Janssen's character) is murdered on the bed, and Bryan Mills is framed for the crime.
After this happens, Mills is forced to flee from a police agent who is convinced of his guilt in the murder - a new character to the franchise, named Franck Dotzler and played by Oscar winning actor Forest Whitaker, the newest addition to the Taken 3 cast. As Mills is left alone when he runs off from the police and attempting to find his wife's true killer, he takes his daughter Kim, as she's now the only family he has left.
The franchise has become notorious for Neeson's new turn as an action hero, after the actor had become famous in the past for heavier dramatic roles, such as his Academy Award-nominated character Oskar Schindler in Steven Spielberg's famous Holocaust black and white drama, Schindler's List. In the Spielberg film, he played the character of a real-life German businessman who saved many men and women from dying during the Holocaust by giving them jobs in his company.
