Dita Von Teese Corset: Burlesque Megastar Puts Kardashian-Jenner ‘Waist Trainers’ In Their Place – You’re Doing It Wrong, Kylie!

While some only know Dita Von Teese from the fact that she was once married to rocker Marilyn Manson, many are aware that she's also responsible for bringing the burlesque genre back from the dead after an absence of decades, often making it to best-dressed lists over her love of pin-up attire - and Dita Von Teese's corset knowledge is legendary.

In fact, the burlesque star started training her own waist at 18, using tie-up Dita Von Teese corsets and professional guidance, and she's become something of an advocate of this way to create the perfect hourglass figure, after having once had a 17 inch waist.

According to OK! Magazine, the raven-haired and multi-talented beauty was recently interviewed about fashion and new trends, including how people like Kourtney Kardashian and her younger sisters Kim and Kylie Jenner have been advertising the Waist Trainer, a corset-like garment to get more pronounced curves, but Dita Von Teese's corset knowledge teaches her otherwise about this invention.

"People that actually know a lot about corsetry are not the ones that are publicly speaking about it. And I'm seeing some of these corsets that they're saying are waist shapers and I'm like, 'That doesn't work,'" Von Teese told The Huffington Post, speaking from Dita Von Teese's corset experience. "It seems to be a fast fix, and it is."

In her Dita Von Teese corset words, the author to the guide to glamour "Your Beauty Mark" also said that the current trend was a lot "like the blind leading the blind" - ouch!

The Waist Trainers craze at the Kardashian home started when Kim was losing her baby weight after giving birth to daughter North, International Business Times reports, and her sisters were quick to follow; as she just gave birth to her second child with Kanye West, it's unclear whether she'll be following Dita Von Teese's corset advise, even though she's quite the expert!
