Fran Drescher Married To “The Inventor Of Email” On Sunday! Happily Ever After Is Only One Mail Away

Fran Drescher has been one year together with Shiva Ayyadurai, the man who claims he invented Email. It happened on Sunday in an intimate ceremony at the beachside, in Malibu, California.

The couple met on an event hosted by Deepak Chopra, who is well known for the alternative medicine he offers. There, Shiva and Fran fell in love. As a matter of fact, Shiva has said to The Huffington Post, "I was speaking on sages and scientists, talking about models of innovation and Fran heard my talk, and we fell in love. We've been together since that talk." Sounds like a romantic story combined with physics a bit.

Who is Shiva Ayyudurai, the man that Fran Drescher married? An American scientist that comes from Indian descent; at the age of nineteen, he developed an electronic version of an interoffice mail system, which would later be called Email. At the time, he already copyrighted it in 1982. Then there were some legal issues that he had to face, but he still does say that he is in fact the creator.

Fran Drescher was married to Peter Marc Jacobson for twenty-one years until they filed the divorce and he came out as gay. Peter was the co-creator of The Nanny, which made Fran Drescher a sensation and actually, they created it and wrote it together.

As a matter of fact, they got married in 1978, way before The Nanny started. They got divorced in 1999, the same year in which the Nanny had its last season and in 2011 they created another show together called Happily Divorced, that was a sitcom of their lives.

At the wedding, Fran Drescher wore a red Badgley Mischka, the color due to keeping the Indian tradition, and Shiva Ayyudurai wore a Ralph Lauren suit, the Daily Post noted.

The now 57 years old Fran Drescher married and showed that years pass, but happiness can always prevail.
