New Dinosaur Skeleton: Discovery Of The Biggest One In History

New Dinosaur Skeleton - The massive remains of a Dreadnoughtus, like they called it, was found recently in the Argentinean Patagonia and is stipulated by researchers and scientists to be the largest land animal found yet.

This new dinosaur skeleton measures about thirty feet tall, eighty-five feet long and weighed 130,000 pounds. The most shocking fact is not this one, but the fact that the dinosaur had not ended its full growth.

The discovery of the dinosaur's new skeleton was made in Argentina, in the Patagonia that is located south of the country and there tends to be a lot of surface differences all over the area, so pondering on it, it is more than understandable that the fossil could have been buried there.

The team that made the new skeleton of the dinosaur be known to the rest of the world was led by Kenneth Lacovara, a paleontologist from the Drexel University, located in Philadelphia. They wrote a journal describing their findings and some words that they shared about it were, "What can be said is that this is the largest land animal that we can put a number on," and also, "if it leaned on a Tyrannosaurus Rex, it would probably kill it;" which is a pretty big revelation, as up to the moment, the Tyrannosaurus Rex has been known as one of the largest dinosaurs.

What this determines is not just a dinosaur discovery, but the difference with past discoveries is that this one was made on a complete basis. At the moment, scientists and Kenneth Lacovara are analyzing their findings and they have 16 tons of bones already being researched on. Another point that calls the attention is that 70% of the bones from the dinosaur were found, when before that, only 20% had been seen of others.

This new dinosaur's skeleton will reveal many facts about the past of the earth and the animals that lived here. This one is said to be dead for 80 million years. Imagine the possibilities if this one was found so complete and well preserved.
