Chelsea Handler has been away from late night for too long, even though she only stepped out from her show "Chelsea Lately" last year; now, fans of the star's raunchy comedy will get her back on television in no time, as Chelsea Handler's Netflix show nears its release!
While Handler has certainly kept busy since leaving her E! talk show, often going on tirades on Instagram as one of the main figures of the #FreeTheNipple movement (along with the likes of Chrissy Teigen and Miley Cyrus), Chelsea Handler's Netflix show sees her grand comeback to TV, and the format might just be perfect for her!
According to TV Line, the comedienne (who also happens to be one of Jennifer Aniston's closest friends) revealed that the Chelsea Handler Netflix docu-series, "Chelsea Does," will be reaching the streaming website next January, giving a fresh look into the star's life.
Variety reports that Chelsea Handler's Netflix documentary will air as a four-part series after the star signed a deal with the streaming and production giant back in 2014, in a project that was directed by Eddie Schmidt (who has in the past worked on "Valentine Road" and "This Film Is Not Yet Rated") and produced by Morgan Neville from "Best of Enemies."
Each of the four parts of the Chelsea Handler Netflix endeavor will see the 40 year-old star "exploring a range of subjects ranging from marriage to drugs, and from to racism and Silicon Valley," all from her very unique perspective and sense of humor, so it's sure to be an eyebrow raiser!
According to Pop Crush, Chelsea's deal with the production company also includes a forthcoming talk show, which will be the first program of this nature produced by Netflix, as the site has steered clear of news-oriented original programming.
