Jamie Dornan, best known for playing Christian Grey in this year's widely popular erotic romance "Fifty Shades of Grey," has been surrounded with rumors about the state of his marriage for months, with news outlets saying everything from a nearing divorce to even pregnancy - could Jamie Dornan's wife, Amelia Warner, be responsible for the sequel's production delay?
After numerous rumors have claimed that it was the pregnancy of Jamie Dornan's wife that ultimately altered the production of the film's sequel, "Fifty Shades Darker," but rather the new contracts settled by the actor as well as co-star Dakota Johnson.
According to Latinos Post, after Jamie Dornan's wife had been blamed time and again for production delays, the story now appears different: after the first film reportedly made $500 million worldwide after its release, it seems like the two stars received a $250k bonus each for the massive success, but they're demanding lots more for the sequel.
"The word is that they're asking for at least $20 million each, plus a percentage of the backend, which could be substantial if the next film is as big as the first," said a source close to production, taking the blame off Jamie Dornan's wife.
This seems exaggerated as $20 per film is what Jennifer Lawrence, one of the biggest box office successes in recent times as well as an Oscar-winning actress, is getting for her next film, "Passengers" co-starring Chris Pratt.
Youth and Health Magazine reports that there's another load off Warner's back, as film producer Dana Brunetti has revealed the casting process for the sequel is still underway, as there's not even a hired casting director as of yet - and that certainly cannot be the fault of Jamie Dornan's wife!
While the next film of the franchise is set for a 2017 premiere date, the numerous production delays are making fans wonder whether it'll make it to its scheduled date.
In the meantime, The Daily Mail has been reported that the two following films, "Fifty Shades Darker" and "Fifty Shades Freed," will be shot back to back, supposedly in part because Jamie Dornan's wife wants him to be freed of his commitments to the franchise ahead of the birth of their new baby.
