It seems, George Lopez had a little too much to drink during a trip to Canada this week.
People magazine reported that the 52-year-old comedic actor was arrested and taken into custody for public drunkenness at the Caesars Windsor, a casino in Ontario, Canada.
No charges were filed and the comic was released.
Security guards working at for the casino found Lopez napping on the casino bar's floor. Local law enforcements were called to retrieve that actor. Stephanie Moniz, the Provincial Constable of Ontario Provincial Police confirmed that Lopez was arrested at 10:49 p.m. and turned over to the Windsor Police.
A Caesars Windsor spokesperson would not confirm the incident or comment on what happened, but did mention that Lopez would perform there Friday night. He also performed on Thursday.
In a statement to People, Lopez said that he had a perfectly good explanation regarding the incident.
"Tied one on last night. Not feeling great this morning," Lopez said. "I was trying to sleep it off, unfortunately, it was on the casino floor."
A comment on twitter mention the fact that his ex-wife, Ann Lopez, gave him a kidney, before the pair announced their divorce in 2010 after 17 years of marriage. Ann donated one of her kidney's to her ex-husband after he was diagnosed with a genetic condition that affected his kidneys, causing deterioration.
Lopez will star in the new FX show, "Saint George".
