Ben & Jerry's Unveils Four New 'Core' Flavors for Ice Cream Lovers

What's better than one flavor of ice cream? Two flavors, plus a topping!

A press release reported that Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream will  be releasing four new flavors this week. The new treats are part of the company's new "Core" line, which is modeled off Ben & Jerry's popular Karamel Sutra flavor.

The ice cream company made the announcement over Twitter, tweeting a picture of the four new flavors with the caption:  "Time to spoon!"

"Experience uber-indulgence with out new Cores," the website reads. "So pop the lid, grab a spoon and get down to business."

Each pint features two ice cream flavors, one on each side, with a fudge or jam flavor in the center, separating the two different ice creams. Every flavor adds another component, such as chunks of candy or brownies in the ice cream.

"We are always looking to make something bigger and better for our fans," Eric Fredette, the lead flavor developer for Ben & Jerry's, said in a press release. "We wanted to blow out the concept of fun flavors, chunks and swirls and take it over the top."

The four new flavors, which were created by Ben & Jerry's team of Flavor Gurus at the company's headquarters in Vermont, are also made completely 100 percent Fair Trade certified with no GMO-ingredients.

The pints will cost $4.39 each and will hit store shelves sometime in February. Each pint contains a total of 260-300 calories. For the Spring, Ben & Jerry's scoop shops will offer made-to-order sundaes, with a core of hot fudge or caramel in the middle of any two flavors.

A list of the company's four new flavors:

- Hazed and Confused: Chocolate and Hazelnut Ice Creams with Fudge Chips and Hazelnut Fudge Core.

- That's My Jam: Raspberry and Chocolate Ice Creams with Fudge Chips and a Raspberry Core.

- Peanut Butter Fudge: Chocolate and Peanut Butter Ice Creams with mini Peanut Butter Cups and a Peanut Butter Fudge Core.

- Salted Caramel: Sweet Cream Ice Cream with Blonde Brownies and a Salty Caramel Core.
