According to the New York Daily News, former South Dakota Hardee's employee Gerald Anderson is filing suit against his former boss, for using her position to coerce him into unwanted sexual activity. According to Anderson, former manager Danielle Dahlenburg sexually harassed him, and used his desire for work to keep him in an unprofessional relationship.
Dahlenburg reportedly told Anderson, shortly after his hiring, that if he "applied" himself, and "worked with her on and off the clock", that he would be on the fast track to management. This led to a series of sexual advances, inappropriate touching, and requests for sexual favors. When Anderson finally submitted to her requests, he broke it off two months later, and was almost immediately fired for insubordination.
The suit is not directed at Dahlenburg, however, but is aimed at Hardee's. Anderson seeks an undisclosed amount of money in damages for "humiliation and embarrassment". The suit is against the franchise group that runs Hardee's, Northland Restaurant Group.
