Sia's Liberating New Track 'Bird Set Free'

The Australian singer and songwriter who started her career as a singer in the local Adelaide acid jazz band - Sia, has followed up her electrifying song "Alive," with the new anthemic track, "Bird Set Free." Both songs will appear on Sia's forthcoming LP 'This Is Acting,' which is slated to be out on January 29th.

The elusive singer-songwriter relays during the chorus of the new song - "I don't care if I sing off-key, I've got myself and my melodies, I sing with love and I sing for me, I shout it out like a bird set free." And throughout the new song of Sia, the singer repeats the line "I don't wanna die" with the emerging energy and strength in the cathartically powerful new track.

The newly launched Instagram account of Sia firmly established 'This Is Acting' earlier this week. The 'Chandelier' hitmaker elaborately laid out the cover art of the forthcoming LP 'This Is Acting,' title and release date through 30 posts that link to make one large image.

All of the songs on This Is Acting composes tracks Sia wrote for other artists, with Sia confirming to Ryan Seacrest (television host and producer) in September that "Bird Set Free" was written with and for British singer and songwriter - Adele.

"Alive" which is a previous single of Sia, was co-written by Adele and the Canadian musician Tobias Jesso Jr. for Adele's album - 25, but Adele declined the song at the last minute.

Adele stated about her collaboration with Sia, "I actually enjoy the dynamic of us both being in there and just being bossy," "And it's all these male producers, and they're all shitting themselves 'cause we're in there."

Other songs on Sia's upcoming album were written for singers like the 'Single Ladies' singer - Beyoncé, and the 'Bitch Better Have My Money' hitmaker - Rihanna.

Sia said, "I'm calling the album This Is Acting, for the reason that they are songs I was writing for other artists, so I didn't go in thinking, 'This is something I would say.' It's more like play-acting. It's fun."
