And the Oscar goes to...
The nominations for the 2014 Oscars were announced Thursday, with films like "Gravity," and "American Hustle," leading the pack with 10 nominations each, including Best Picture.
According to the Associated Press, Chris Hemsworth announced the nominees for the 86th Annual Academy Awards, alongside president of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, Cheryl Boone Issacs, from the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills, Calif.
"Hustle" was nominated in several major categories, including Best Picture, Best Director, David O. Russell, Best Actor, Christian Bale, Best Actress, Amy Adams, Best Supporting Actor, Bradley Cooper, and Supporting Actress, Jennifer Lawrence.
Martin Scorsese's "The Wolf of Wall Street," received five nominations, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Best Supporting Actor, Jonah Hill.
"12 Years a Slave" earned nine nominations including Best Picture and Best Director, Steve McQueen. TV personality Ellen DeGeneres is set to host the award for the second time; she previously hosted the 79th annual Academy Awards in 2007.
"There will be no shortage of comedy with Ellen DeGeneres as our host," producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron said in a statement. "There may also be a few musical surprises along the way."
The 86th annual Academy Awards will be broadcast live from Hollywood's Dolby Theatre on Sunday, March 2, at 7 p.m. on ABC. Here's a list of this year's actors, directors, animators, screenwriters and artist nominated:
