Emily Osment is heading back to television.
According to the United International Press, the former "Hanna Montana" actress will co-star in a new ABC Family series called "Young and Hungry". The new series is executive-produced by former Disney Channel alum Ashley Tisdale.
In the series, Josh played by Jonathan Sadowski, is a wealthy young tech entrepreneur who meets Gabi played by Osment, who is a young food blogger, looking to be Josh's personal chef.
"Young and Hungry stars Emily Osment as a food blogger named Gabi," the ABC Family site read. "When Gabi inadvertently gets selected to prepare a meal for a tech guru named Josh (Jonathan Sadowski) she finds herself with an opportunity for a new job and possibly a new love. Gabi gets some much needed help and advice from Josh's assistant, played by Rex Lee, and his housekeeper, played by Kym Whitley."
ABC Family president Tom Ascheim called the new series a great start to the new year, along with another ABC Family original series, starring and executive-produced by Tori Spelling and Jennie Garth.
"It's great to start the new year and my tenure at ABC Family with the pickup of these two funny original series," Ascheim said. "Viewers are excited to see Tori Spelling and Jennie Garth back on television together again, and will fall in love with 'Young & Hungry' star Emily Osment in these comedies that bring us fun, new characters with which to laugh out loud."
The series will premiere later this year.
