Raven Symone: ‘The View’ Co-Host Says Spring Valley High School Girl Had It Coming, Twitter Users Can’t Stop Insulting Her [VIDEO]

With another week comes another Raven-Symone "The View" controversy, once again regarding her strange take on racial issues and how to handle them; this time, the former child star is responding to a recent viral video where a high school student suffered an aggression from a police officer, going into some victim-blaming on the process.

A few days back, a video from Spring Valley High School became viral, showing a South Carolina police member using force to remove a student from the classroom over refusing to get off her cellphone - and on the latest Raven-Symone "The View" controversy, the "Cosby Show" alum says the teen was equally to blame.

"The girl was told multiple times to get off her phone," said Raven-Symone on "The View" last Wednesday, E! Online reports. "There was no reason for him to be doing this type of harm. It's ridiculous, but at the same time you've got to follow the rules in school."

Us Weekly reports that after the original Raven-Symone "The View" comments, show co-host Paula Faris weighed in with a similar opinion, saying it doesn't seem as if "young people have that respect for authority," somehow also skipping the fact that the clip entailed an adult man throwing a teenage girl on the floor, certainly a measure well beyond the limits of just punishment over disrespect.

Michelle Collins seemed to be the voice of reason on the panel on Wednesday morning, saying that, regardless, "you cannot lay your hands on someone."

In any case, according to Mediaite, once again, Raven-Symone's "The View" comments prompted a wave of hatred towards the star, with users taking to Twitter to voice criticism towards the 29 year-old actress saying things like how her "foolishness is not funny" and that she has an "asinine, dangerous opinion as a human being."
