Rock artist Stevie Nicks, famous for singing about witches, now may play one on TV.
Nicks is due to appear on the FX series "American Horror Story: Coven," said series creator Ryan Murphy, tweeted the news Wednesday.
The TV creator expressed his love for the singer-songwriter in the past on his other show "Glee" and on "American Horror Story: Coven" where Lily Rabe's character this season, Misty Day, is a huge fan. It has not been announced what episode Nicks will appear in.
Murphy told Entertainment Weekly he thought Misty, as a lonely witch who does not know any other witches, would probably most want to meet a witch like Nicks.
"When we got to this witch idea, I thought, if you're Misty and you have grown up alone and you don't know any other witches, there's one witch you probably would know and that's Stevie Nicks," Murphy told Entertainment Weekly.
But Murphy admitted that the singer was hesitate about making a guest appearance on the show.
"Murphy went on to reveal, So I called Stevie Nicks and first I said, 'I want to use you in the show.' But she was very resistant because from the beginning of her career people who are in the Wiccan community had given her a hard time thinking she was a witch and she got a lot of scary fan letters," he said. "She didn't like the darkness of that, and I explained to her the part and she's like... 'OK, I love it.' "
Guess who's visiting the Coven? The legendary Stevie Nicks!

"American Horror Story: Coven" actress Rabe confessed to being a fan of the singers music.
"If I meet her, I actually think I might die on the spot," she told EW. "I don't get that crazy about a lot of people. I'm usually pretty cool, calm, and collected. But I don't know if I could behave properly. I love her so much. She's just a beautiful creature."
This is the third season of "American Horror Story," which focuses on witches. Season one centered on a haunted house, while season two followed an insane asylum.
"American Horror Story: Coven" airs Wednesday nights at 9:00 PM CST on FX. The show stars Jessica Lange, Kathy Bates, and Angela Basset. The show has also been picked up for a fourth installment to air in 2014.
