Kate Winslet revealed that she just had a negotiation with L'Oréal concerning the retouching of photo ads.
The 40 year old actress revealed to E! News that her new Lancôme ads won't be retouched after she negotiated with the parent company L'Oréal as she wants to set a good example for younger women, who will eventually see her face in the ads.
"I think [young women] do look to magazines, I think they do look to women who have been successful in their chosen careers and they want people to look up to," she explained to E! at the Elle Women in Hollywood event. "I would always want to be telling the truth about who I am to that generation because they've got to have strong leaders."
Kate seems to have rejected photo editing from her life, which make her more inspiring. Just recently she also posted an image of herself on social media with no make- up on, urging women to embrace themselves and to battle negative body image issues.
Winslet wrote on her Facebook page, "I know I am chubby, I have big feet, and have bad hair days. When I grew up and even now sometimes, I hardly hear any positive reinforcement about body image from any female. I mostly hear negatives. But I know most of the negatives comes from the people who are busy rejoicing other people' insults by liking demeaning post on Facebook when in reality they don't even like themselves."
Earlier this summer she also addressed the swirling Botox rumors and just laughed at it. "Look, I still have the skin, you see," she said during an interview with USA TODAY.
Kate, who is a mother of three children, Mia, 15 years old, Joe, 11, and Bear, 22 months, is definitely an inspiring actress who is not afraid to show her flaws.
