Bruce Willis Excited Over ‘Die Hard: Year One’ The Prequel

Renowned action super star Bruce Willis is excited to return to the big screen for the sixth installment of the 'Die Hard' movie franchise.

Bruce told Entertainment Tonight in the New York premiere of his new movie 'Rock the Kasbah, "It's a very good idea, a really tricky idea, and I'm very happy about it"

Willis will re-live the story of John McLane in New York City in 1979. The prequel will be titled 'Die Hard: Year One' is a story of the origin of McLane and the story will have a series of flashbacks of the past then intertwine with the present.

Bruce claimed, ''I'm very happy about it because it's the origin story. It happens at the beginning and we're going to bounce back and forth.''

Bruce who is 60 years old starred in all five 'Die Hard' films and is expected to reprise his role once again, although the sixth film he will play the present version of himself. He did not reveal as to who will play the younger version of John McLane.

He told ET Online: ''We're not there yet. Hopefully he's got a hard head''.

Filmmaker Len Wiseman of 'Total Recall' together with producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura is under negotiations with 20th Century Fox to direct the upcoming 'Die Hard' Prequel which is actually the sixth installment to the franchise. 

Pre-production of the movie is still in the works as producers are still on the look-out for an optimum screenwriter for the said 'Die Hard' prequel.
