Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge joined President Xi and Madam Peng Liyuan on their visit to Lancaster House on Wednesday morning after her stunning first appearance during her first state banquet on Tuesday night.
Kate is known for his thriftiness and her love with British high street. The characteristic of the Duchess is evident in her choice of simple dresses. In this event however, she selected a high-end £1,850 purple lace dress by Dolce & Gabbana.
The mother-of-two's Guipure lace dress highlighted her trim frame and she added accessories paired with a toning clutch and shoes. The Duchess also wore her signature bubbly curls. Together the couple was escorted by her husband Prince Willian for an event dubbed Creative Collaborations: UK & China. The event involved a range of UK and Chinese companies working in artistic alliance.
The couple along with President Xi and wife also met with some British TV, film and theatre actors. They also watched exhibitions and demonstrations made by Poldrak, BBC Earth, Sherlok and the Society of London Theater with Jackie Chan in attendance.
A Cultural celebration was a highlight in the event and gave emphasis on the existing and future ties between UK and China. After the event, President Xi met with the Prime Minister, David Cameron, at No.10 Downing Street for a bilateral meeting.
