Katy Perry Says Mick Jagger Hit on Her When She Was 18; Rolling Stone Lead Singer Denies it (VIDEO)

Katy Perry told an Australian radio station that legendary Rolling Stones lead singer Mick Jagger tried to put the moves on her when she was 18.

The "Fireworks" singer told Nova radio network morning show that she did background vocals for the Rolling Stones song "Old Habits Die Hard" for the 2004 Jude Law movie "Alfie". Perry then mentioned having dinner with the rocker, who was 41 years her senior, and said that he hit on her.

"I actually went to dinner with (Mick Jagger), one time, and he hit on me when I was like 18," said Perry, now 29.

During the interview, Perry tried to quickly defuse the bombshell she'ddropped.

"But that was a long time ago, and since then he's been very kind," she said. "I got to sing 'Beast of Burden' on stage with the Rolling Stones (during the band's 50th anniversary in Las Vegas in May)."

The rock icon has denied that he tried to get any satisfaction from the then-barely legal aspiring performer. A rep for Jagger, told the New York Daily News that the "Jumping Jack Flash singer "categorically denies that he has ever made a pass at Katy Perry."

"Perhaps she is confusing him with someone else," the publicist said.

Perry was in Australia to promote her new album "Prism" on Australia's version of "The X Factor".

According to Entertainment Weekly, the singer's latest album sold  286,000 units in its first week, per Nielsen's Soundscan. The sales are the best by a female artist this year, beating out Miley Cyrus' "Bangerz" by 16,000 copies, Entertainment Weekly reported.

Billboard magazine reported the sales were good enough to debut "Prism" at No. 1 on its Hot 200 chart. Billboard said the album is Perry's second No. 1 and a huge sale's bump, following up on her 2010's "Teenage Dream," which opened with sales of 192,000 copies.
