Bob Barker is coming on down!
Former longtime host of "The Price Is Right" is returning to the show for a very special event, his 90th birthday.
CBS announced it will be honoring Barker with a week of shows from Dec. 9- Dec. 13. Each day will feature on-air pet adoptions and humane animal, a cause near and dear to Barker's heart.
In the pre-taped episodes, Barker will surprise the studio audience with a special showcase including games and fun gifts. according to TVGuide.com. He retired as host in 2007 after 35 years with the show.
"The Price is Right" is considered daytime's highest-rated show. Barker recently spent almost $1 million to transport three former zoo elephants from Canada to a compound in Northern California. The longtime animal welfare activist had been fighting to have the elephants transported since 2011.
"I had tears in my eyes and a lump in my throat," Barker said according E! News. "It's hard to believe they are finally here."
Since his grand exit, Barker has only returned to the show once in 2009 to promote his autobiography, "Priceless Memories".
Last year, he was not invited to participate in the 40th anniversary events, telling AP that producers "chose to ignore me."
