Bruce Jenner Hits the Race Track With Son, Brandon, and 'Grey's Anatomy' Star Patrick Dempsey

Bruce Jenner feels the need for speed.

"The Keeping Up With The Kardashians" star took to the Virginia International Raceway this weekend to participate in the Lamborghini series. Jenner became a household name after he won gold in the decathlon at the 1976 Summer Olympic Games in Montreal.

Before hitting the track, the 63-year-old talked about his affinity for motorsports with his son Brandon Jenner, who was also entered in the competition.

"I had heard about it a lot but never had the opportunity to come here," the former Olympic gold medalist told local ABC.

"We're just going to go as quick as we can, try to drive smooth, I'm going to try to keep up with this guy," Brandon said

Also participating in the race was "Grey's Anatomy" star Patrick Dempsey, who reportedly took sixth place in the Oak Tree Grand Prix prior to the race against Jenner. Dempsey said he was thrilled to be a part of the event and added that he loves racing so much that he took a red eye to be there after working on the Grey's set all day.

"I've always loved cars and racing and speed," the actor, otherwise known as McDreamy, told the station. "It's one of those iconic tracks that you like to come race at."
