Every child who grew up with a Lucky Charms box perpetually on the food cabinet always sort of hoped one day the cereal would disappear from the box, magically turning into an all-marshmallow delight ... and now, the brand's leprechaun mascot has heard these wishes, giving 10 very lucky people a box with only marshmallows inside.
For a limited time only, fans of the product can participate for 10 specially issued Lucky Charms boxes where the cereal bits are replaced by marshmallows in their entirety - and this is how you can do this.
To enter the contest, fans can share a snap of themselves holding an imaginary Lucky Charms box of marshmallow-only cereal on any of the biggest social networks (namely, Facebook, Instagram or Twitter) during a space of four days, from October 14 to October 18, using the hashtag #Lucky10Sweepstakes.
According to Fortune, the Lucky Charms box contest is a clear move towards the tech-savvier generations, mostly millennials who are old enough to participate in this kind of contest right now, so they'll be enticed to interact with the brand on social media - still, whether this is obvious or not, the very thought of a marshmallow-only box of cereal is enough to water anyone's mouth!
As Pop Sugar reports, this isn't the first time the brand attempts to move bigger on social media; earlier this year, "Keeping up with the Kardashians" reality star Kylie Jenner mentioned how much she loved the cereal's marshmallows on her Instagram, which prompted the brand to actually send her one of the special-edition boxes, which she of course ended up sharing for the world to see.
"The Voice" coach Blake Shelton was also given one of this special edition boxes long before the contest was announced.
