Last August, the world was surprised to hear that, after an engagement lasting three years, Justin Theroux finally married his "Friends" love Jennifer Aniston in a secret wedding attended by some of the biggest names in Hollywood, who were mostly unaware that they were attending a wedding - but, according to Jennifer Aniston's husband, some of them did know!
A few days ago, Jennifer Aniston's husband, the 44 year-old star of HBO's "The Leftovers," went to "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" to talk about the new season of the series, but of course he also ended up talking about his recent nuptials, which DeGeneres and wife Portia De Rossi attended, speaking of the one thing he and his new wife regretted about their day.
According to People Magazine, Jennifer Aniston's husband couldn't look any more excited about his recent nuptials if he had directly tried to, speaking to Ellen about these few weeks since their marriage, and the one thing that went wrong.
As Vanity Fair reports, Jennifer Aniston's husband told everyone that they were throwing the "American Psycho" actor a birthday party - but when a few guests said they were unavailable, the couple had to spill the beans to them.
"It was actually a massive miscalculation," Jennifer Aniston's husband told the talk show host. "Afterwards, we kind of realized, like, that was a terrible plan, because you're basically telling half your guests, 'You're unemployed and we can't trust you,' which was of course not the case, but we just kind of put it out there, and people that said yes to the birthday [we didn't tell], and then people who said, 'We can't,' we really put more pressure on them to be at the 'birthday.'"
The results? Some of the guests were dressed in jeans and flats expecting a birthday and a few others were in full fancy attire for a wedding reception!
Still, as Theroux confirmed to Ellen, there were a few of their friends who'd always "dress to the nines" whenever the two invited them to a meeting; famously, Sacha Baron Cohen and wife Isla Fisher would be among the ones doing that.
In all, other than that tiny detail, Jennifer Aniston's husband (her second, after Brad Pitt) confirmed what we all thought: their wedding was magical!
