Emily Ratajkowski, 'Blurred Lines' Model, Cast Opposite Ben Affleck in 'Gone Girl' Movie

From the runway to the big screen.

Emily Ratajkowski, the model who stars in Robin Thicke's controversial "Blurred Lines" video has reportedly been cast role in David Fincher's "Gone Girl," based on the best-selling novel by Gillian Flynn.

According to E! News, Ratajkowski will play Andie, the beautiful college student who has an affair with Nick Dunne, Ben Affleck's character. The brunette beauty expressed her excitement on her Instagram.

"So happy to announce my casting in David Fincher's 'Gone Girl' opposite Ben Affleck!!!", Ratajkowski wrote.

Variety reported last week that the model was "closing a deal," for what would be her first major screen role. Over the summer, Rolling Stone helpfully provided an explainer on Ratajkowski, including help with the pronunciation of her last name.

"The J is silent. That's the trick. Occasionally people get it right on the first try, just through random luck," she said. "People have told me to change it over the years, but my dad is always saying, 'Never change your name!' My middle name is O'Hara, so it's a pretty epic name. Emily O'Hara Ratajkowski."

The 21-year-old model will join a cast that already includes Affleck, Rosamund Pike, who will play Affleck's wife, Amy, Tyler Perry, Neil Patrick Harris, Patrick Fugit and Kim Dickens.

With over two million in its first year of release, Gone Girl's film rights were quickly snapped up by 20th Century Fox with Reese Witherspoon's production company Pacific Standard signing on to produce the flick.
