As the "1989 World Tour" continues, it would seem like every week there's news of a member of Taylor Swift's squad joining in one of the shows, with everyone from Kendall Jenner to Justin Timberlake and even Lisa Kudrow performing with her on stage - but there's one pop star out there who's totally not interested in this practice.
British singer FKA Twigs, known for massive hits like "Two Weeks" and for being Robert Pattinson's fiancée after that very public relationship with Kristen Stewart, has recently revealed she has no interest in joining Taylor Swift's squad - was she throwing shade?
Twigs is on the most recent cover of Paper Magazine, and of course, as the pop music world seems to revolve around Taylor Swift's squad these days, she was asked what she thought of Calvin Harris' superstar girlfriend, as the interviewer told her she cultivates a "different relationship" with fans than Swift does.
"I think Taylor Swift is great, but I wouldn't necessarily think, 'Oh my god, I have to be friends with her,'" said Twigs, real name Tahliah Debrett Barnett, dissipating all doubts about her joining Taylor Swift's squad. "When I meet fans, they're quite creative and intelligent, kind, sensitive. Some are old ladies, witch doctors from Louisiana, kids that have just left art school. Gay or lesbian couples, straight middle-aged couples..."
According to Hollywood Life, there's one person who's glad to be Taylor's close pal: Selena Gomez, who recently revealed she's been battling lupus for years and that Swift and the rest of the gang have been a rock during those difficult times.
In news related to Taylor Swift's squad, the singer recently spoke o NME Magazine about her short-lived Twitter feud with Nicki Minaj, saying that while she didn't want to extend on the subject, she definitely had learn a valuable lesson: if a misunderstanding arises, it's smarter to hash it out via text messages than it is to do so through a social network.
Still, Taylor Swift's squad keeps growing!
