Nicki Minaj VMA: Miley Cyrus, Listen Up – This Is What The ‘What’s Good?’ Moment Was All About!

A few weeks back, as Miley Cyrus hosted the MTV Video Music Awards during the summer, fellow megastar Nicki Minaj's VMA speech after taking home an award left everyone with their mouths open, as the rapper openly spoke against the "Wrecking Ball" singer - and now, Nicki's setting the record straight!

A few days before that Nicki Minaj VMA moment (which has turned into possibly the biggest zing of 2015), the "Anaconda" songstress got into a small feud with fellow pop star Taylor Swift after the "Bad Blood" singer misinterpreted some Twitter remarks about her - but it seems it was Miley she meant at all.

In a recent profile The New York Times made of Nicki during Fashion Week, the rapper (who will soon get her own sitcom) spoke candidly about Nicki Minaj's VMA moment - and why she was so annoyed Cyrus had dismissed her issue with the award's nominations.

"The fact that you feel upset about me speaking on something that affects black women makes me feel like you have some big balls," said the rapper, Jezebel reports, speaking about the Nicki Minak VMA call-out. "Come on, you can't want the good without the bad. If you want to enjoy our culture and our lifestyle, bond with us, dance with us, have fun with us, twerk with us, rap with us, then you should also want to know what affects us, what is bothering us, what we feel is unfair to us. You shouldn't not want to know that."

As Rolling Stone reports, before that awkward Nicki Minaj VMA moment happened, a few days before the awards, Cyrus said that her problem hadn't been that Minaj was complaining about black women's lack of representation in the award show, but rather because Minaj made it "about her."

In any case, now that Nicki Minaj's VMA moment is explained, will drama between the two stars continue?
