To celebrate the social network's 5th anniversary, the Facebook-owned company has released a long-awaited list of Instagram's most followed accounts, and of course, it stars some of the biggest people in show business, with Taylor Swift, understandably enough, finding herself at the top of the list!
Interestingly enough, the Instagram most followed list consists mostly of women, with only one man in the top 10, namely pop megastar Justin Bieber, currently going through a major comeback - as for the rest, it's all girl power with some of the biggest female stars in music and reality television.
According to The New York Times, Swift is Instagram's most followed person (the social network didn't include its own account) with 49.6 million people seeing her every move on the picture-sharing social media account, closely followed by reality television superstar and fashion designer Kim Kardashian, who has 48.1 million followers.
As Entertainment Weekly reports, the rest of the top five on Instagram's most followed list brings some of the biggest pop stars in show business right now, namely Beyoncé (also known as Queen Bey) with 47.1 million, then Swift's BFF (and "Bad Blood" cast member) Selena Gomez with 45.8 million and then Ariana Grande, who makes the list with 44.6 million followers.
According to Get Reading, though, it's after the top five of Instagram's most followed list that more members of the "Keeping up with the Kardashians" clan start showing up, with three of Kim's sisters making the cut: Kendall and Kylie Jenner were joining big sis Kim, as well as Khloe Kardashian.
