As stated in a new report, the most financially successful hip hop artist - Jay Z and the former lead singer of the R&B girl-group Destiny's Child - Beyoncé, have nailed their king-and-queen-of-pop-culture status by moving into a suitable palace worth $45 million. The celebrity couple has signed a one-year lease on the lavish mansion located in the stylishly luxurious Los Angeles neighborhood Holmby Hills.
The five-bedroom mansion was previously owned by Frank McCourt - LA Dodgers owner, and just last year, McCourt sold the property to a British billionaire.
The British billionaire bought the mansion for $45 million, but, reportedly, hardly spent any time in his property. So, Jay Z and Beyoncé are now renting it for approximately $150,000 per month - the $45 million mansion features a 20,000 square-foot house with its formal gardens, Olympic-sized indoor pool, outdoor pool, and waterfall.
According to the website of Celebrity Net Worth, there's no doubt that Jay Z and the 'If I Were A Boy' hitmaker can certainly afford the extravagant monthly installments, as the power couple's combined fortune is estimated at $1 billion.
Jay Z and Beyoncé's latest expensive rental comes just one month after the couple was forced to move out from their last lavish L.A. rental when the landlord sold it for $35.5 million. Jay Z and Beyoncé were offered to purchase the plush pad themselves, but the wealthy couple chose not to outbid the other extensively wealthy buyer.
Report has it that the New Yorker behind "Empire State of Mind" - Jay Z and the singer who hails from Houston - Beyoncé, owned an apartment in Tribeca, New York, but they chose to move to L.A. because the couple believes it's a good place to raise Blue Ivy - their 3-year-old daughter, who is reportedly enrolled in a $15,000-a-year preschool.
