Emily Blunt Wants To Do 'The Devil Wears Prada 2!' Did She Steal Her Famous Line From A Terrible Mom?

Emily Blunt has gone a long way since she first played the deliciously evil co-assistant in 'The Devil Wears Prada,' but the role continues to shadow the 'Edge of Tomorrow' star until now.

When Emily Blunt recently spoke to Vanity Fair, she admitted that she has a unique acting process.

"I like to soak up people on the street," Blunt said. "I guess I steal from people I meet."

Emily Blunt also revealed how one of her infamous lines in 'The Devil Wears Prada' was actually improvised and that she heard it first from a mean mom.

"I saw a mother speaking to her child in a supermarket when we were shooting that film, and it's a line that gets quoted back to me now," she said. "She yelled at her kid and she kind of opened and closed her hand and she goes [in harsh American accent], 'Yeah, I'm hearing this, and I want to hear this.' I went and put it in a movie, when Anne Hathaway is kind of talking to me, and I just told her that [to make her shut up]."

The 'Sicario' actress explained how random people have actually inspired her in creating her own characters.

"For me, that's what helps me . . . to feel what other people would feel in my skin," Blunt said. "And other times I feel like it is the ultimate expression of empathy, to be so interested in people and empathize with them profoundly."

Since Emily in 'The Devil Wears Prada' was such a hit, would Emily Blunt consider working on a sequel? The actress wants to do it, but admits hesitation because of what the cast had to do before shooting the first film.

"We all were told to go on these skinny diets for the first time," Blunt said. "But I'd be up for it."

Emily Blunt's most recent project is the crime thriller 'Sicario,' which was released on September 18.
