George Clooney On Amal Alamuddin: 'I Feel Like An Idiot Talking To My Own Wife'

After celebrating their first wedding anniversary on Sunday, George Clooney gushed about his barrister wife Amal Alamuddin saying he's an 'idiot' compared to her.

US Weekly reports the 54-year-old actor revealed how they spent the special occasion at the 15th anniversary screening of his film, O Brother, Where Art Thou? "We [went to] Jerry Weintraub's memorial," which is the star-studded event in honor of the late Ocean's Eleven producer before their romantic night.

"It was great," Clooney smiled. "We had dinner... that was fun."

"Amal picked this spot," he added. "I'm a creature of habit, so I might want to go down the street to the same sushi bar that I could eat at four nights a week."

"She's like, 'No, that's not going to happen-not for the anniversary! We're not going to do that!'" he cracked.

Their first wedding anniversary was indeed special as an eyewitness told the magazine the beautiful couple spent it having a cozy night at Sunset Tower Hotel's Tower Bar. "It was a lovely, quiet, romantic meal, just the two of them," the on-looker dished adding, the Clooneys were "all dressed up for the occasion."

The actor also shared how it's like talking to the Oxford and NYU law school graduate every day.

"I'm an idiot," he joked. "Oftentimes, I feel like an idiot talking to my own wife. It's never good!"

After a year of blissful marriage, sources have revealed the couple are ready to take the next step.

They decided that it would be the right time," a source told Us. "Amal isn't taking on extra work at the moment and just continuing with the cases she has."

"They recently visited a fertility center," another insider added. "This is something they really want."

George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin tied the knot on Sepember 27, 2014 in Italy.
