CW is about to return with 'The Originals' for the premiere of its 3rd season on October 8 and the plot is about to get real heated between the witches and vampires. This rivalry has been going on for quite some time and finally, the answers are here.
IB Times said that the plot for the premiere episode has revealed it all. It is called, "For The Next Millenium." It will focus on the characters Davina (played by Danielle Campbell) and Marcel (played by Charles Michael Davis) and their rivalry. The synopsis states how Marcel and his regained control over the French Quarter will create new strategies to newly recruited vampires. On the other hand, Davina who is very new to the scene of witches will make a choice that will have her and Marcel at odds with each other.
This conflict will already be seen in the first part of the episode, which means tension will start to build up early on. A teaser of the premiere was released showing Marcel asking a friend for a huge favor. He said, "Just hear me out," only to have Davina turn him down. She replied with some pretty salty words saying, "Witches don't do favors for vampires, including daylight rings. Those are the rules."
The adamant Marcel still tried to win Davina's favor for his request saying that an act of good faith might bring peace to both of their parties. But Davina, is firm about her decision and she thinks that he is nothing but a "vampire sympathizer."
Season 2's finale answers why Davina doesn't want to grant Marcel' favor. After the vampires sabotaged her plan of resurrecting Kol (played by Daniel Sharman), it became really hard to gain her trust.
