Time and again, Quentin Tarantino has proved through his own films and countless interviews over the course of his career that he possesses not only a true love for cinema but also some heavy knowledge on his craft - and that might be precisely why nobody will ever find Quentin Tarantino on Netflix.
Of course, there are many Quentin Tarantino Netflix movies, as many of his films are on rotation on the on-demand streaming website; however, the filmmaker has recently revealed that he has no plans to ever sign up for an account, as he prefers to watch his films the old-fashioned way: on VHS!
According to Cinema Blend, the filmmaker, who's a few weeks away from releasing his latest film (the very anticipated "Hateful Eight"), had one interview published recently on Tom Roston's book "I Lost it at the Video Store: A Filmmakers' Oral History of a Vanished Era," and on it he explains Quentin Tarantino's Netflix thoughts.
"I am not excited about streaming at all," goes Quentin Tarantino's Netflix opinion. "I like something hard and tangible in my hand. And I can't watch a movie on a laptop. I don't use Netflix at all. I don't have any sort of delivery system. I have the videos from Video Archives. They went out of business, and I bought their inventory. Probably close to eight thousand tapes and DVDs."
Variety reports that it's not the only way the "Kill Bill" filmmaker has shown Quentin Tarantino's Netflix disdain, as Video Archives isn't the only movie repertoire he has available at all times these days; in fact, Tarantino also owns the films from Los Angeles' New Beverly Cinema, consisting solely on film prints.
Indeed, the 52 year-old filmmaker is quite the purist!
