If there's one star out there with a signature hairstyle is Ariana Grande, as the 22 year-old singer has been sporting her high pony tail for each and every event for months and months, and Jennifer Lopez even copied her look a while back - now, Ariana Grande's Instagram reveals how her locks really look!
In a recent series of pics, the singer and actress showed the world the current natural state of her hair, without ponytails or extensions, and Ariana looks like a totally different person - in fact, if the pictures hadn't been on Ariana Grande's Instagram, it would've been hard to recognize her!
According to Entertainment Tonight, Ariana Grande's Instagram showed her ditching her signature high ponytail for once and choosing a more relaxed look, showing off her beautiful curls with two small French braids on the side for a faux sidecut like the one Cara Delevigne has sported a few times.
E! Online reports that this Ariana Grande Instagram post comes after a lot of work for her, as the "Problem" singer hadn't let her hair down publicly in a very long time - because it was so damaged from treatments and bleaching that she didn't feel comfortable showing it off.
"I had to bleach my hair and dye it red every other week for the first four years of playing Cat," explained the singer through Ariana Grande's Instagram last year, after months of criticism regarding her never-changing hairdo. "I wear extensions but I wear it in a ponytail because my actually hair is so broken that it looks absolutely ratchet and absurd when I let it down."
Grande considered getting wigs or weaves, but they didn't work for her, making her feel uncomfortable - still, as Perez Hilton reports, now that Ariana's hair is back to being healthy, her fans are loving her natural locks!
