In 1960, legendary film director Alfred Hitchcock made Hollywood history with a movie that would become a hit called "Psycho" starring Janet Leigh and Anthony Perkins, featuring one of the most famous scenes in movie history, iconic for the shot itself as well as the haunting score from Bernard Herrmann - and now, 55 years later and ahead of her new show, daughter Jamie Lee Curtis' "Scream Queens" promo recreates that scene!
The premiere of Jamie Lee Curtis' "Scream Queens" is only a few days away, and the people behind the upcoming Ryan Murphy show (which also stars the likes of Ariana Grande, Emma Roberts and Lea Michele) are doing everything right when it comes to promoting.
After launching her career with John Carpenter's classic horror film "Halloween" and then starring in sequels and similar projects, Curtis has been deemed the Scream Queen by media for the past three decades, but in fact it runs in her family after Leigh's famous shower scene, which Jamie Lee Curtis' "Scream Queens" just recreated.

According to Vanity Fair, the Jamie Lee Curtis “Scream Queens” homage, posted on the actress’ Twitter and Instagram pages, is part of an upcoming episode of her new show, and of course she took the time to compare herself to her mother with a photo of the iconic black and white scene from Hitchcock’s film – and the resemblance is uncanny!
As Express reports, this Jamie Lee Curtis “Scream Queens” homage to the woman who is the true original Scream Queen, her own mother, was “written into a special episode,” in the words of Tony Curtis’ daughter.
According to Entertainment Weekly, this comes less than a month before the September 22 premiere of the horror-based series, which has been buzzing for months after creator Murphy’s successful shows, “Glee” and “American Horror Story.”
Just a few more days until Jamie Lee Curtis’ “Scream Queens” make it to the small screen!
