Jessica Simpson's Weight Loss: Singer Revives Career After Dropping 70 LBS

Jessica Simpson wants to relive her days as a pop star after she dropped 70 pounds of baby weight.

The mother of two has been ridiculed by many people for her pregnancy weight gain. But after she whittled off those unwanted pounds, Simpson has been flaunting her sexy physique to the public.

Her current figure required hard work and determination, it was not easy for her to shed off those excess pounds.

"I work out five days a week: three days with a trainer, doing a mix of strength training and cardio, and then I do cardio on my own the other two days," she told InStyle. "I worked really hard because I wanted to appreciate being in a wedding gown again... I just wanted to look healthy."

Now that she is more comfortable with her body, Simpson recently revealed to TODAY that she's gearing up to return to her singing career.

"That's how I started; that's always [been] one of my biggest passions in the world," she said. "I love to use my voice."

While preparing for her big come back, Jessica built a recording studio inside their house.

But remarked that her children seemed not to like her voice that much.

'I think my voice is too loud to sing a nursery rhyme,' Jeesica has said in an interview. 'My kids look at me like,"Ugh!" Like, I startle them or something."

She also gushed about her two children. Three years since she gave birth to her first child Maxwell and she got Ace, who is now two years old.

"Maxwell is a great big sister," she gushed. "She's at that age where she's rolling her eyes at Ace a little bit."

Jessica started her career as a pop star singer. But aside from singing she is also an actress and a fashion designer. In 2006, she initially launched her own fashion line 'The Jessica Simpson Collection.' Due to its huge success, she started expanding, now it has 22 different licenses and is still going stronger.
