Months after bagging his first-ever Academy Award for playing real-life physicist superstar Stephen Hawking in "The Theory of Everything," it's now time for less serious movies for the British actor, as Eddie Redmayne's Harry Potter shoot begins in the United Kingdom.
After the massive success of the first eight films adapting J.K. Rowling's widely popular series about a boy wizard, Eddie Redmayne's Harry Potter work won't see him working with the likes of Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe or Matthew Lewis, but rather being a wizard in the same universe although almost a full century before the events of the book!
According to Christian Post, only days after Eddie Redmayne's Harry Potter shoot began (he'll be playing Newt Scamander in next year's "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them"), the actor has spoken for the first time about what it's like to be part of the universe penned by J.K. Rowling.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly about Eddie Redmayne's Harry Potter role, where he explains how thrilled he was to be part of the "Harry Potter" universe, saying he had, like millions of others, read the books, watched the films and become completely obsessed with the mythology, prompting some serious psychedness when he got the role a few months back.
"Like many people, I read those books, I watched those films, and became completely intoxicated by J.K. Rowling's world," said Eddie Redmayne of Harry Potter. "The idea of getting to tiptoe into it felt truly exciting. I hope it's going to be quite a ride."
As far as what he's actually allowed to share with fans? "Absolutely nothing," he says - a total bummer, but equally understandable!
According to Design N Trend, ahead of Eddie Redmayne's Harry Potter premiere next year, the actor is about to release his latest film, "The Danish Girl," a biopic of one of the earliest transgender patients of sex reassignment surgery in the world, for which he has gotten glowing reviews and is buzzed for an Oscar nod in what would be his second one in a row.
We can't wait to see Eddie Redmayne's Harry Potter debut in the fall of 2016!
