N.W.A's biographical film 'Straight Outta Compton' has just been unleashed in theaters worldwide, but Ice Cube is getting ready to start shooting a new movie as soon as possible!
According to E! Online, the rapper and his son O'Shea Jackson Jr. recently visited 'The Dan & Maz Show' on 2Day FM to talk about the film and were immediately shown a hilarious N.W.A parody called 'Nannas With Attitude.'
Ice Cube and O'Shea were so impressed that they agreed to give the rhyming grannies' song an outstanding introduction, saying, "You are now about to witness the strength of geriatric knowledge."
Ice Cube enjoyed Nannas With Attitude's song 'Straight Outta Aged Care' so much that he declared, "I'm ready to shoot the movie, man!"
Although it is highly unlikely that an actual sequel will be made anytime soon, 'Straight Outta Compton' is currently enjoying its success, earning $144.7 million at the box office. But was the film true to N.W.A's true history?
'Straight Outta Compton' offers an honest, somehow cleaned-up, glimpse at the humble beginnings of Dr. Dre, Ice Cube and the late Eazy-E. The film glorifies the early days of hip hop music, where money, sex and violence fueled the group's rise to fame. It also shows that the music industry will always have its sharks, in this case the sneaky manager Jerry Heller.
There were several notable omissions in the film, which included Dr. Dre's attack on Dee Barnes and the apology he had to issue for physical assaults on several women. N.W.A's Detroit gig was also exaggerated, since the group managed to finish their performance in real life and was only taken in afterwards.
'Straight Outta Compton' stars O'Shea Jackson Jr. as Ice Cube, Corey Hawkins as Dr. Dre, Jason Mitchell as Eazy-E, Aldis Hodge as MC Ren, Neil Brown Jr. as DJ Yella and Paul Giamatti as Jerry Heller.
