For the past couple of years, the queen of selfies herself, Kim Kardashian West, has had similar duckface expressions on her face when it comes to snapping pics, even if it's someone else taking them - and now, the reality star has finally revealed why is it Kim Kardashian's smile has disappeared from photos.
It seems like the reason Kim Kardashian's smile is no longer present when paparazzi take snaps of her has more to do with bullying than anything else: when she was pregnant with North, her first child with husband Kanye West, Kris Jenner's daughter received so much heavy criticism that it "changed" her.
According to People Magazine, the revelation regarding Kim Kardashian's smile came during a recent interview, as she spoke about her second pregnancy, the fertility challenges she had to endure to have baby number two and how her life has been since she was expecting her first child, North.
Speaking to C Magazine, the topic of Kim Kardashian's smile came up as she spoke about the body shaming she suffered during her first pregnancy, when she was suffering from a condition called preeclampsia that caused her body to bloat, leading to news outlets everywhere criticizing her for letting herself go during her pregnancy, when in fact she had no control over this.
"I delivered at 180, and they were like, 'She's 210 pounds. She's getting dumped because she's too fat' and all these ridiculous stories," the "Keeping up with the Kardashians" star told the magazine on its 10th year anniversary edition, then speaking about the reason behind Kim Kardashian's smile disappearing from paparazzi shots. "It changed the way I viewed wanting my picture taken. [...] After I had the baby, I was like, these are the same people that made fun of me, and posted the stories that were so awful, calling me fat for something I couldn't control. I don't want to smile for them."
The Mirror reports that, even though Kim Kardashian's smile disappeared after she had her first child, she's still thankful to the paparazzi for giving her and Kanye more privacy afterwards.
