After weeks of speculation regarding Candace Cameron Bure's "The View" job, now the people behind the popular daytime ABC talk show have made the official announcement that the "Full House" alum will be joining the series for its 19th season.
Earlier this year, there was a Candace Cameron Bure "The View" appearance that made headlines all over the country, as the former child star made a controversial stand on the subject of the bakery that refused to cater for a gay wedding - and due to how much press this stirred, she's now officially part of the show's panel, as it deals with a crisis of hosts and ratings.
According to ABC News, the producers of the show made Candace Cameron Bure's "The View" job official earlier this week, as she'll be joining Whoopi Goldberg, Raven-Symoné and Michelle Collins as co-hosts of the morning show, with two new additions: Paula Faris and original co-host Joy Behar.
"As The View embarks on a remarkable 19th season, I am extremely proud to see the legacy of smart and diverse women engaging in entertaining and thought-provoking conversation continue," said Barbara Walters, the creator and executive producer of the show, in a statement to Us Weekly regarding the new additions, including Candace Cameron Bure's "The View" co-hosting.
While there hasn't been a statement from the actress best known for playing DJ Tanner about this new Candace Cameron Bure "The View" job, returning co-host Behar expressed she was more than happy to return, according to LA Times.
After being in the show for 17 years since it first started, Behar stepped down from "The View" in 2013 to pursue different projects, but she said she was now "happy to come back home" and couldn't wait to discuss controversial topics, particularly regarding Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.
Candace Cameron Bure's "The View" debut will be on September 8!
