Following the success of the new "X-Men" films starring the likes of James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender and Nicholas Hoult, 20th Century Fox is looking to expand their own Marvel universe with the characters they currently own, including "Deadpool" and "Gambit," a film that will apparently star Léa Seydoux 2015.
Without a doubt, Léa Seydoux's 2015 has been a big year, as she's set to star opposite Daniel Craig in this year's James Bond film "Spectre," where she'll play one of the Bond girls alongside Italian beauty Monica Bellucci - and now, it appears like the 30 year-old Frenchwoman is also set to appear on a superhero film.
After making a start in indie films with the critically acclaimed French "Blue is the Warmest Color," Léa Seydoux's 2015 sees her entering a new phase in her career with a bang, as according to an exclusive story by Deadline, the "Midnight in Paris" actress has been offered to join Channing Tatum's "Gambit" stand-alone film.
IGN reports that Léa Seydoux's 2015 Marvel character wouldn't be one of the "X-Men" properly, as she's been offered to play Bella Donna Boudreaux, a Marvel Comics character who's the head of the Assassin's Guild in the same universe as the "X-Men," a woman who knows Gambit from their childhood together.
Other actresses who have been named for the role include Abbey Lee and Rebecca Ferguson.
According to Variety, if Léa Seydoux's 2015 confirmation were to happen, she'd be seen in the role in October 6, 2016, the scheduled release date for the film; Josh Zetumer (from the 2014 "RoboCop" remake) penned the "Gambit" screenplay, and the director will be Rupert Wyatt, fresh off other big projects such as "Rise of the Planet of the Apes."
In any case, it's been a few years since the actress had a small role in Quentin Tarantino's "Inglourious Basters," but Léa Seydoux's 2015 is definitely kicking off now!
