The mystery of the death of former child actress Suzanne Crough has finally been solved. When Crough passed away in April at the age of 52, her sudden loss shocked fans of the TV series "Partridge Family." It seems like it was just too early to lose the actress at such an age.
Suzanne Crough cause of death was reportedly deemed natural at the time. However, on Thursday, it has been revealed that she had been the victim of a rare heart condition that could have taken her life anytime.
A Clark County, Nevada coroner told The Wrap that Suzanne Crough cause of death was arrhythmogenic right ventricular dysplasia, which is described as a unique, and rather rare, form of cardiomyopathy.
"The condition occurs when the heart muscle of the right ventricle is replaced by fat and/or fibrous tissue, causing the right ventricle to dilate and contract poorly, usually resulting in a weakened ability of the heart to pump blood. Patients with the condition often have abnormal heart rhythms, causing increased risk of sudden cardiac arrest or death," the report said.
When Suzanne Crough "died suddenly" in her Nevada home, the cause of her death had been unknown and was simply determined to be due to "natural causes."
However, researchers said the Suzanne Crough cause of death was hereditary since the condition - arrhythmogenic right ventricular dysplasia - is prevalent in approximately one-out-of-every 5,000 people.

Crough was survived by husband of 30 years, William Condray; two daughters, Samantha and Alexandra; and one-year-old granddaughter Evelena, according to The Daily Mail.
Following the success of "Partridge Family," Suzanne Crough was unlike her other cast members who reportedly clung to the D-List celebrity fame decades after the show. In 2010, Crough appeared in the "Today Show" for a special reunion where she revealed that she had been living an ordinary life. In the interview, she said that she was working as a manager at a local Office Max.
