Even before the scheduled premiere of the highly anticipated drama series 'Heroes Reborn', many information about the cast and storyline of the 'Heroes' sequel have come out. Tim Kring, the creator and executive producer of the sequel revealed surprising details about the coming show.
Contrary to the series' title, some of the original characters are not present in 'Heroes Reborn' like Claire Bennet, a character played by Hayden Panettiere. Many fans wondered about the last trailer which showed that Claire is dead.
Kring confirmed that she will no longer be in the show because she already died before the story of the revival series picks up.
The executive producer also explained that some of the people involved in 'Heroes' including some of the actors are no longer available for 'Heroes Reborn'. Kring stated that the said aspect is beyond their control. However, some alums will be brought back based on the storyline, a fact confirmed during a press tour.
The ending of Heroes perfectly fits for the beginning of the new series. The drama was last aired five years ago and the time is the exact duration that passed in the story of the coming miniseries.
Kring says that they are treating the sequel as the 10th season of Heroes and not the fifth season. The events in the five years gap will connect the two series. Using the power of one character Hiro Nakamura which is time travelling, recalling the past events would be ultimately possible. Mohinder Suresh will be seen by the fans in the middle of the series.
The former characters will not be seen in every episode of 'Heroes: Reborn' except for Noah Bennet. Kring says that he wants brand new characters for the show that viewers will also love. He is confident that the creators will be able to find new stories to tell about the new characters.
Kring also confirmed that 'Heroes: Reborn' will only have thirteen episodes. But extending the show is possible depending on the responses of the viewers.
